May 27, 2021 Update

The Committee: The Benefits Committee is responsible for the establishment and administration of CAPS members’ insurance and other membership-related benefits. A majority of this committee’s activity includes reviewing CAPS members’ and their dependents’ quarterly professional grant and annual scholarship applications.

Today’s Message: CAPS is pleased to announce that the CAPS Board recently voted to increase Dependent Scholarship awards this year to $750, up from the usual $500 award, as a result of the program’s dormancy due to complications caused by COVID-19.  Any CAPS member with a dependent enrolled in college for NEXT fall (Fall 2021), may apply to CAPS for one of fifteen awards.

To read more details about the Dependent Scholarship program and to apply, go to https://capsscientists.org/members/caps-dependent-scholarships/. Please get your application in by Tuesday, June 1.  (Unfunded submissions from previous years remain eligible this year. There is no need to reapply.) CAPS’ Member Benefits committee will select and notify winners in July.

This benefit is available only to CAPS members.  To become a member, apply online at https://capsscientists.org/application/.
