Every four years, democratically elected delegates from every UAW Local from across the country come together to pass resolutions that lay out our union’s vision and priorities, consider amendments to the UAW Constitution, nominate candidates for the International Executive Board, and discuss the main issues facing the labor movement.
The 39th UAW Constitution Convention will be held on June 15-18 in Detroit, Michigan, and our local union will have an opportunity to recommend resolutions and amendments to the convention! Here’s the CAPS-UAW process for considering resolutions and amendments:
- Members submit resolutions by Monday, March 23, 2026
- Special Executive Board meeting held Wednesday, March 25, 2026 to agendize resolutions for consideration at Statewide Membership Meeting

Statewide Membership Meeting
Mark your calendar, the CAPS-UAW Statewide Membership Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026! At this meeting, resolutions and amendments for the convention may be adopted by the membership. Additional topics will include planning around organizing campaigns and plans for the coming year.
