CAPS-UAW Health and Safety Working Group!
Every worker deserves to go home safe at the end of the day. Are you ready to stand up and make a difference? If you answered “YES!” then we want YOU to join the CAPS-UAW Health and Safety Working Group! This working group is open to all CAPS-UAW members (rank-and-file, supervisors, and managers).
This is a call to action for all workers who refuse to accept the status quo. It’s time to fight for the safe, healthy workplaces we all deserve. We’re looking for passionate, committed individuals who are ready to take a stand, speak out, and advocate for meaningful change for ALL State Scientists.
Why Join?
- Create Change: Be a part of the solution. Help us identify hazards, develop safety protocols, and ensure compliance.
- Protect Your Peers: Every worker has the right to a safe workplace. By joining, you’ll be protecting not just yourself but your colleagues too.
- Gain Knowledge: Learn about workplace safety standards, rights, and responsibilities. Knowledge is power, and we’ll arm you with everything you need to know.
The Health and Safety Working Group will determine how to keep day-to-day watch on worksite conditions, as well as identify and solve problems before they become serious.
Whether you’re a seasoned worker or new to being a State Scientist, your perspective is valuable. Health and safety affect us all, and together, we can make a difference.
