Join the CAPS Union Solidarity Rally and March for Scientists outside of the California Democratic Party’s (CDP) Convention at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in Downtown Sacramento on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 12 to 1:30 PM!
The rally will start at the SAFE Credit Union Plaza where we will hear from speakers and then march around the convention center to make some noise. Wear your CAPS Green and bring all of your colleagues, family and friends.
CDP delegates, legislators and candidates, unions, and other allies of State Scientists are being encouraged to show up to the rally and advocate for the important work that State Scientists do for California.
You can volunteer to ensure all CDP delegates and convention attendees are aware of the CAPS rally! CAPS will be passing out flyers for the rally at the CDP Labor Caucus meeting (Friday, November 17, 6:30pm), and the CAPS exhibit booth and other locations at the convention center (Saturday, November 18, 8am-12pm). You can also volunteer to help during the rally!
Other Ways to Support State Scientists
You can show solidarity with State Scientists by attending this rally outside the convention, volunteering, and demanding that Governor Newsom value scientists!
