All S10 Supervisors to Receive Retroactive 2.5% GSI. CalHR informed CAPS this week that all CAPS Supervisors, both Like Pay Like Work (LPLW) and non-LPLW classes, will be receiving a 2.5% General Salary Increase (GSI), backdated to July 1, 2022. The increase is commensurate with what other excluded employees are receiving for 2022. CAPS has not heard back from CalHR on any of our other discussions from the August 19, 2022 Meet and Confer.
Health Care Premiums for 2023 Released. CalPERS’ health care Open Enrollment starts September 19 and ends on October 14, 2022. To help you choose a medical plan for next year, this table compares the monthly premiums for each in-State program in 2022 and 2023 and your out-of-pocket costs after the State pays its share. More Open Enrollment information is available through your myCalPERS account. Changes made during Open Enrollment take effect on January 1, 2023.
Supervisor Worksite Meeting Held. Another Scheduled for Next Week. CAPS hosted a supervisory-member Meet and Confer this Monday, September 19, 2022, and will host another covering the same topics for those who missed the first meeting but wish to attend the second on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. You must pre-register at this link in order to attend and participate in the worksite meeting. When registering, you will be able to submit questions for the Question and Answer session. Questions that are submitted ahead of time will be addressed first. You will receive a confirmation email and link to join the meeting at the email address you provide one day before the meeting to ensure the link is easily found. You do not need a Zoom account to participate in the meeting. Each person’s link is individual. Please do not share your link with anyone. Doing so will result in your removal from the meeting. September 8, 2022. Open Enrollment Begins September 19. The open enrollment period to make changes to your CalPERS health plan begins on September 19 and ends on October 14, 2022. During the Open Enrollment period, eligible employees may enroll in, cancel, or change health, dental, and vision plans; add or delete dependents; enroll (or re-enroll) in a FlexElect program; or enroll in a cash option in lieu of health and/or dental coverage if you have other qualifying health coverage.
