| Important highlights of the agreement include: INCREASED 2025 Special Salary Adjustments (SSAs) for those not at the stop step from 3.0 to 3.5%. PROTECTED the 2025 SSAs for those at the top-step Personal Leave Program (PLP) with a 3.5 % salary reduction in exchange for 6 hours per month for a total period of 21 months PROTECTED the 2026 raises for everyone IMPROVED telework rights and protections SUSPENDED Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) contributions, putting more money directly into our paychecks What this means: The increase to the 2025 SSA for those not at the top step was secured by converting our telework stipend into income that will continue to grow our earnings over time and be included in your retirement calculations. If ratified by CAPS-UAW members and the legislature, the PLP program, suspension of OPEB, and ending of the telework stipend will take effect the payroll period following full ratification. This Tentative Agreement includes significant economic provisions. The bargaining committee voted unanimously to approve the Tentative Agreement.
