Dear CAPS-UAW Member,
You are invited to a training series for CAPS, UAW Local 1115 members about how union members can build and use their collective power to enforce the memorandum of understanding (MOU or “contract”), address issues in the workplace, and how members support one another. The first 3 parts of the training series will be via Zoom on December 5th, 12th, and 17th during the noon hour, and they will include information and exercises to build skills.
- Thursday, 12/5 12-1PM Part 1: Basics of contract enforcement; organizing; grievance and complaint process
- Thursday, 12/12 12-1PM Part 2: Writing and discussing grievances
- Tuesday, 12/17 12-1PM Part 3: A Steward’s Role in investigatory meetings
Part 1 and 2 build off of each other, meaning you should take Part 1 before participating in Part 2. Part 3 is a standalone training.
