Know Your Rights. State Holidays. The Holidays are fast approaching, and as such, it can be a helpful reminder that CAPS MOU, Section 4.1 entitles State Scientists to several state-observed holidays with pay, in addition to any official State holidays declared by the Governor. The next state-observed holiday with pay is Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 24th), and the Day After Thanksgiving (Friday, November 25th). Additionally, every full- and part-time employee receives one personal holiday each fiscal year. Happy Holidays!
