State scientist Supervisors and Managers,
I am Cory Copeland, a Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisor) at the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission and a member of your union’s Supervisor and Manager Committee.
On November 1, 2024 your CAPS UAW 1115 treasurer Itzia Rivera sent an email about the recent salary raises and new pay differentials. That email also included a mechanism for supervisors and managers having issues with their paycheck to report issues. About 100 supervisors and managers have reported paycheck issues related to raises, geopay, longevity pay and more.
On Wednesday November 20, 2024 at 12pm; join for a lunch time virtual meeting to learn more about these raises and pay differentials, and talk about strategies to rapidly resolve issues
It is important to let the State know there is a problem so that this gets fixed as soon as possible. To ensure the State fixes this problem, the most straightforward way to get it addressed is to submit a grievance. The grievance process exists to help the State fix work problems, and the State has a standard form for it. Check out these instructions and templates to help you quickly submit a grievance.
How to access my paycheck to find out if my pay was correct?
You can retrieve your earnings statement on Cal Employee Connect, visit the State Controller’s Officer (SCO) resource guide on how to do that.
Please join us on November 20, 2024 at noon for support in taking action to address paycheck issues.
