Salinas: Drinking Water Operator Symposium –
The Rural Community Assistance Program hosts this free
symposium to provide information to small, rural water systems to help

Rosa: Ecological Restoration Conference
– The Society of Ecological Restoration will be holding their 15th
annual conference with this years focus being “Restoration’s Bigger
Picture: Linking Local Restoration to Regional and Global Issues.”

September 3, Central Valley: Labor Day Recreational Use
Study – The Central Valley Regional Water Quality
Control Board’s Surface Water Ambient Monitoring Program is tentatively
planning a water quality recreation study corresponding with Labor Day
2008. The purpose of this study is to help develop a snapshot of the
water quality in local swimming holes before, during and after a major
